To have a dedicated server, there are two ways to go:
-
Co-location (client provided hardware), or ...
- Use our full dedicated servers and we provide the hardware.

In case you are like most people, wondering just what all the fuss is about
"Bandwidth" and what servers are all about, here's some information that
may help you:
Bandwidth is the measure of usable data that can be passed over a circuit. We could throw a
bunch of numbers at you to impress you with statistics,
but in simple terms this is
the way it goes: If you have a web site like most people that gets a heavy amount of
traffic and do a lot of business on, our standard hosting package will suit you
fine. Most web sites, though there is a lot of hype to convince you otherwise, never
use all the bandwidth that is available to them.
If you have a huge web site and do a vast amount of business and have a vast amount of
traffic, our hosting offers you all the bandwidth you will need and more.
On the above options, you share your web site server with other web sites, all using the
same server, which is fine because that server is so big, it is more than adequate.
Now, if you want your web site to be like a Country instead of a State or a City because you are
so big, big like Amazon.com, or want to get that big, you may be interested in having your own
dedicated server. When you have your own dedicated server, you are totally responsible for it,
and you can do whatever you want on that server and no one will ever intrude because you are the
King of your Country. It's one big
huge firehouse spilling out a continuous stream of bandwidth full of visitors to your site. You
could also host other web sites on that server.
There are many people who do not understand the concept of how a server works. It is very simple:
The hose concept is a good way of understanding
bandwidth. If you are a city, a small garden hose is fine. If you are a State, a large, professional
landscaping hose will do you well. If you are a Country, you will want a fire hose. No need to have
a bigger hose than you need.
